this miniature mosque is crafted from artillery shells. i never imagined you could use such a material to make something so stunning. those colors = insane.

these circular landscape compositions are just beautiful. they make me want to wander off into the wilderness. if i go missing, you know where to find me... kinda.

cooking is sort of my thing. so are jell-o shots. believe it or not, the creations above are both jell-o miniatures. these would be perfect for a summer party. hmmmm...

i'm quite the fan of grammar. it was the only test i got a 101% on in high school. this poster would be perfect in my bedroom. the cmy color combo is just the right burst of color.

slighty vile, slightly clever. i wish i threw up confetti. that'd be much more pleasant to look at.

while looking for inspiration to decorate my new apartment in california, i came across this shot of a very well designed living room corner. i wasn't as attracted to the furniture or wallpaper as i was to the color combination of the two together. the warm camel color of the buffet and chairs matched against the rich teal and grey in the walls is a great combo you rarely see.

i'm obsessed with the idea of these anonymous fliers posted around a city. a lighthearted approach to some pressing statements.

these paper cut-outs by pablo lehmann make my fingers hurt. after working with x-acto knives on my own cut-out projects, i can't imagine how long it took him to complete these. although, they were definitely well worth the time.

with packaging design like this, i'd definitely be more willing to indulge my sweet tooth with these sundae deserts from
waitrose.

i've always imagined a a taxidermied animal and/or it's head would be an interesting conversation starter in a nicely decorated apartment. this one leaves out the creepy glassed over eyes and gives a fun pattern contrast to white walls.

do you ever look at something and think "i could've done that", but know that if you did, it wouldn't seem half as appealing? that happened here. love the simplicity of this logo.

can't imagine the handicraft that went into these tiny creations. these miniature origami are made out of u.s. and foreign currency. who would've thought a dollar bill could be so precious.

my dream office, which belongs to the creator of cupcakes and cashmere. the light blush shade of the walls against the metallic of the garland is feminine but fun.
p.s. - uh, forgot to mention how awesome it would be to own a clothes rack like that. totally jealz.

small charm necklaces have been all the rage for the past couple years. i can't help but find this one perfectly fitting for my family (who own a cement block business). probably the prettiest 8x8x16 standard you'll ever see.

maybe it's my love of food. maybe it's because i'm hungry. either way, this red velvet heart inside a white cake makes me drool.

typography + abstract photography = excellent visual for a countdown. my number 2 at the top is the days i have left until i move home for the summer. i guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun. a little too much fun, actually. this summer is going to be a well-deserved break.

i almost always find skull artwork to be intriguing, so i couldn't help but love these geometric skeleton heads by michael day jackson. clean lines integrated into natural form is hard to achieve but when done right, the outcome is excellent.

my name is cygne. i'm eighteen (nineteen in august) and a soon-to-be sophmore majoring in design at the university of southern california. for obvious reasons, i'm not going to pour out my life story on here. but i'm sure with a little stalking searching, you could find out more.
as for the photo above, hand-stitched typography. where can i learn?

with the hopes of upkeeping a blog for an entire year long past, i'm starting this new blog with one incentive: to inspire. every day, something inspires me. these things come from everywhere around me, online and in the real world. here is where i plan to store them.
enjoy.
